Hello! My name is Bruce Powe jr, and I am an action storyboard artist from Detroit, Michigan. Below are a few storyboards from a few studios I am currently working at. Most of my work here is work in progress since I recently started doing freelance work. Some of it will be updated over time. Thank you for taking the time to look through my portfolio!

Kongo

This is one of the intro sequences in the Arms master trailer that I boarded for Mike Winn. Below are a few deleted frames, sequences, and a video to better grasp the timing of the shot.

Braun

This is a rage build-up scene that is in the works. For this one, the character here, Braun, needs to build up his emotions into an explosion of fire and mana. The character is then eaten by his own power, before lunging at the camera. This is another section of the Arms master’s trailer for Mike Winn.

Rune

This is a display of scale, using the character Rune from Arms Master’s. He is a gunslinger and a mage. His powers are displayed here using speed and his dual pistol loadout. This is his section in the Arms Master’s trailer for Mike Winn.

Frea

This is a scene to display fast movement and beauty. This will be another scene from Mike Winn’s trailer for Arms Master’s. Using Frea, she needs to move from one area to another in quick succession and finish the scene with a judgement cut. Below will be a deleted scene from the trailer that comes from another perspective after her initial dash forward.

Riot Vs Caim

This is one of my favorite scenes so far for Mike Winn’s trailer for Arms Masters. It’s a sakuga-inspired fight scene using scale, extreme posing, and dynamic effects.

Caim ( in blue lines ) is a composed, calm fighter, while Riot (in red lines) is a wild card. I am really excited to finish this one.

Below will be a few deleted scenes that didn’t make the trailer, but I enjoyed making them nonetheless.

Below are a few thumbnails on how I approached/figured out these poses and ideas. I always try to sketch in my sketchbook first since I can be fairly quick this way. And then I bring that into Storyboard Pro to make all of my shots.
